I read that the oral methandriol was 17aa, but it was implied that the injectable wasn't greatly liver toxic. Does anyone know if it is 17aa?

All methandriol is orally active due to 17-methyl- alkylation, thus the name: METHandriol (also, methylandrostenediol). It has several downfalls:
1. it has intrinsic estrogenicity, prior to aromatization
2. it aromatizes to a 17-AA estrogen, and
3. it can induce hypertension, by its affects on corticosteroid metabolism.

A plus is that it shows fibrinolytic activity.
