I have always done weighted crunches to get my abs back in full swing. Then after I establish the amount of mass I want, I simply do tons of reps(not weighted) ed or even eod. When I say weighted, I don't mean holding a 35lb plate & doing crunches. I use cables. I kneel down on my knees & hold the double handle in my hands above my head. Then I crunch, it looks like I'm balling up or something. It has always worked wonders for me. I hope this helps in someway. ------------------ ![]() | ||

My routine 4 sets crunches I have an abs and calves only day. I treat them like any other muscle group. Full attention to them on thier own day. Then on my arm day I will do two sets of cable crunches and two sets of knee tucks just to keep them active since they can handle a bit more volume than other muscles. ------------------ ![]() |
