do you have a website that you use for business purposes? how about just your own home page? i'm curious to know what kind of traffic everyone generates, and more importantly i guess, what ways you've found to be effective in generating traffic.

i do have a website but i'd prefer not to post it here.
I use it to generate some extra money with some freelance work. I have to redesign it but i've been lazy.
I also own and run another site as a hobby for an interest of mine. the only money it generates is through tshirt sales, but it pays for itself.

I have had one... Lots of work... And countless useless emails... Depending on the site and how much time you have on your hands it can be good or bad... Mine I still have up, but not so the general public can access it.... I needed someone to return emails because I didn't have time to do it... Way to much time that I didn't have..

yes i have my own website that allows me to show off my own company's state of the art .NET ASP web devleopment skills. Used for procuring prospective clients in the entertainment, and tribal government industries in developing powerful innovative and useful solutions for them.

pretty kool. hopefully by next year i'm gonna whip out a site that'll scare the bajeebers out of ebay. shit you not.

its not a tshirt site.
i just opened a store on cafepress to sell appropriate slogans on tshirts. it turns out that i dont' sell all that many shirts, but i've gotten enough referrals to make some decent money.
my site generates its own traffic- its linked to other sites with the same topic (its a sports related site) and the forum gets enough traffic so that people know about it.
if that doesn't make sense, i'll give you details.

I have a site, but it's nothing but a main page telling you that you may see my cock someday. i the other 2.4g of web space to upload porn, pictures, music, etc, to share with others. it's MUCH easier than trying to find a reliable uploader on the web, and i only paid $9.24 for the year. 2.4gb of web space and 120gb of transfers/month.

getting close to the end of my billing cycle. gotta host some porn and eat up about 115gb of bandwidth.

That's my website. Check it out and give me your feedback. I'd appreciate it. I generate traffic for my website through word of mouth reference, message boards, and various advertising here and there. It's a very simple site believe it or not. I started that not too long ago and have done fairly well, and I think with time it will only garner further traffic as more people spread word. Hope that helps.

Had a site when I was running a small business in high school (too much work, not enough money, shut it down).

Then had a general entertainment site. Added a forum, eventualy shut everything on the site down, but the forum is still up because a few people made home there.

That's really good man.. I get 200/GB xfer a month and 20GB storage but I pay $9.99 a MONTH. Sound like I shoulda signed up for your deal.

it was definetly a good one. i think i posted a thread about it when the deal was availible but much like all my other great threads, it went overlooked.

they were running a promo at the time. hopefully they have another promo when my first year is up.

also got free domain registering for the one site, www.crak600.com . the crak600 has stuck with me for so long in one form or another, i can't just let it go.
