No shit. I was just reminded of this personal site I ran an ad on about 4.5 years ago when I was single. I had a ton of responses that were fucking weird but only ended up meeting one guy off there (my choice) and a few dates later he turned out to be weird as well.
Out of curiosity I just go there and log in again - thinking that my profile would be dead. Over 48,000 New Messages for me.
I should send a reply to those back in 2001 like "hey, remember me? I'm single again and was wondering if you were available. You weren't my first choice last go around, but I am willing to try you out now."
The sad thing is that I looked at some of the profiles from guys that sent me messages back in 2001 and they were still active. Still logging in and having activity. Is that sad or what? Reading their ads, it was like they were trying to sell themselves like a used car or something. If you have been on the net that long and no one wants you, what makes you think I do? And it was really pathetic that my profile had ZERO activity since 2001 and yet people were still sending me messages. It clears shows LAST ONLINE >>date<< in my profile. Yet people as early as last week were replying. It is like they were digging to the bottom of the basement in those ads.
