It does sound convincing but honestly - whose going to risk their gains by gutting down to 20gr/day in order to see if it works. This is something I'd have to see results with my own eyes before starving myself after working so hard for every pound of muscle.
 
dude... try to be more specific in the damn title of your post next time.. you could have just put "protein cycling diet article" or some shit like that.. and i could have saved the calories i burnt hitting the left mouse button to go into this thread..
 
There was already a post about protein cycling here some time ago.It suggested cutting down protein intake to about 40 grams per day for 10 days and then upping it back to 1 gram per pound of bodyweight.
It was said that body becomes less efficient in using(digesting) protein when intake is high, because some of the metabolites are toxic and that caused a tendency for excreting significant amount of protein in order to avoid liver stress.
Something about anabolic rebound was also mentioned(coupled with increased GH release) when switch to high protein intake was made...
