Remember that thread I posted about the modern day cyborg? That guy had an implant in his arm, that when he moved his arm around, a robotic arm over 1000 miles away did the exact same movement.
Plus, when the robotic arm pressed down on something or lifted an object, the man actually felt the stress and "pressure" in his own arm.

This is how incidious it will be. They will make it sound like it is for the best, as in get a chip put in your kid, and if he gets kidnapped we can find him...or no need to worry about stolen credit cards anymore. Get a chip implanted with all that info, and just swipe your hand at the store to pay for stuff. How handy is that?

i think credit cards may move this way, think about it. soon we will never carry money or cc's. on the other hand the id part is what scares me, even though its almost required to have id on you at all times (drivers licence or similar). but what does bother me is they COULD put tracking devices in these chips. i dont want cops to know where i am all the time...i may be doing something illegal

I don’t know if this could actually be the mark that the bible speaks about, it seems like everyone knows and has heard about this “mark of the beast” and would know better, besides that, this is crazy, like Scarlett33 said this is how they’re going to go about it, but everyone can plainly see that this takes away your privacy, your freedom etc, why would anyone get this. But I guess in reality, all it would take is another 9/11 incidence and they could start forcing this upon people for "the protection of the people"

"for the protection of the people" I can just hear it now. And there will be another 9/11 type catastrophy. Its just a matter of when. Eveyone will be looking to the government for protection. That will make people let their guard down.
As Curling probably knows, a lot of the really fundementalist southern religons won't even use checking accounts or credit cards. I worked with penecostals who refused to be payed by auto deposit, and it caused a big stink at the VA Hosp. where we worked they believe that all of that falls under mark of the beast. There will be a group of hold outs who will recognize the governments "help" for what it it. It all scares the hell out of me.

Stuff Like that I find kind of ridiculous. If they well versed in the good book, they know it is unavoidable, they should know what is going to happen, and should not worry, it’s not in their hands if they’re true believers.

It'll probably take another 10, and by them everyone will be conditioned to the idea, so when it actually happens, nobody will really argue. Only the few left behind, and or course they will be prosecuted and executed.

Anyway, I do not see the day anytime soon, where people will be executed just because they wont let the government put a stupid lil chip in their damn arm.
We can't even control our own borders.
