You actually lose calcium when you drink milk!

BigAndy

New member
Milk would be fine if it wasnt pateurised, unfortunately commercially produced milk is pasteurised which destoys all the vitamins , minerals and digestive enzymes , which now have to be supplied by your body , in other words you actually lose calcium by drinking milk. This also explains why so many people are lactose intolerant as lactase the enzyme needed to digest milk is destroyed through pasteurisation.

Cut and paste :"MILK

is just as bad. The definition of pasteurization is that the milk is heated until what? All enzymes are destroyed. Without enzymes, it can’t be broken down, because now man has created a food that doesn’t exist in nature. Forget that we’re the only species to drink the milk of another animal. Forget that we’re the only species to drink milk after childhood. The main thing is - we can’t metabolize it. (See ENZYMES

CALCIUM?

Another joke. Remember all those enzymes that got destroyed by pasteurization. One of them was called phosphatase - essential for calcium absorption. We don’t get calcium from milk. Children don’t need milk for strong bones and teeth. Milk doesn’t prevent osteoporosis. All these ideas were ingrained into our conscious from where? The school dietary “education” programs since the 1950s. Paid for by whom? Right, the American Dairy Industry.

After you find all this out, the killing blow is when you learn that milk causes osteoporosis, because metabolizing all this artificial manmade food steals calcium from the bones and teeth. Who’s got the highest incidence of osteoporosis in the world? Scandinavia, Germany, and the U.S., especially states like Wisconsin—places with what? Highest dairy consumption. (Twogood, Appleton, Howell, McDougall. Douglas)

‘Lactose intolerance,’ - you always hear that. There’s no such thing. They want to pretend some people have a genetic defect whereby they can’t digest milk sugar. Lactose is milk sugar. But it’s not the milk sugar we’re allergic to - it’s the milk. We all have milk intolerance. No one can digest pasteurized milk!

But we’re not allowed to know all this. The above paragraphs challenge three separate billion-dollar industries: the sugar trust, the dairy trust, and the drug trust. None of them wants people to discover that asthma and osteoporosis can be eliminated simply by removing sugar and dairy from the diet. No, no, that won’t do. That’s not “scientific.” Diseases are cured by one thing; drugs. Right? That’s real medicine. If people change their diets, they won’t need all those drugs and calcium supplements, and even worse, Clinton won’t be giving out any more $178 million presents to try and discover the “cure “ for asthma. "

Thats why I don't drink any milk anymore.
As Arnie once said "Milk is for babies, When you grow up you have to drink Beer!"
:D

I hate milk. I think it tastes shitty, and its not even that good for you. Take a multi-vitamin and down some brews instead.

LOL!

Sick bastard.

I've never thought about making my protein shakes with Heineken.

Well, there's a first time for everything....:D

Interesting reading Big Andy but before the sheep of the Board give-up milk, maybe we could back up those claims with some Scientific sustantiation. Any qualified studies by an accredited entity would suffice. This is not a flame! Peace

KIller thread, and worth a Methyl Bump! Btw, what would then be a good source of calcium? Ive read that tablets dont digest well-any suggestions??:D

"Milk would be fine if it wasnt pateurised, unfortunately commercially produced milk is pasteurised which destoys all the vitamins , minerals and digestive enzymes , which now have to be supplied by your body , in other words you actually lose calcium by drinking milk. BIG, please stop posting this pseudo-scientific information. WE DON'T GET OUR ENZYMES FROM FOODS. Don't downplay the miracle of the the human body. We have evolved to produce our own enzymes capable of digesting and utilizing numerous foods, vitamins, minerals, etc. How can we lose calcium from drinking milk, if it is supplying it to us? And don't say, "cause the enzymes are destroyed by pasteurization!"...we produce our own. Lactose intolerance is mainly found in countries where cattle farming and milk consumption has been historically low, this is an evolutionary trait.

"MILK is just as bad. The definition of pasteurization is that the milk is heated until what? All enzymes are destroyed."

The reason for pasteurization is not for enzymatic degradation, but for microbicidal purposes. Ever heard of Coxiella burnetti? Mycobacterium avium? Escherichia coli? Salmonella enteriditis?

"Without enzymes, it can’t be broken down, because now man has created a food that doesn’t exist in nature."

Where in nature does the Twinkie live? Thank God, Captain Crunch discovered those long lost species of Crunch Berries.

"Forget that we’re the only species to drink the milk of another animal. Forget that we’re the only species to drink milk after childhood. The main thing is - we can’t metabolize it. (See ENZYMES CALCIUM?)"

The anti-milk propaganda machine loves to downplay the intelligence and ingenuity of the human species. We are the only animals to build machines, utilize mathematical equations, split the atom, etc. Should we go back to hunting and gathering days, since that is what animals do? Also, this idea that we are the only species to drink the milk of another animal is horseshit. Have you never witnessed a mother dog or cat, nurse an abandoned infant of another species? Also, some species of ants domesticate aphids for a milky exudate that they secrete.

"Another joke. Remember all those enzymes that got destroyed by pasteurization. One of them was called phosphatase - essential for calcium absorption. We don’t get calcium from milk. Again, we produce phosphatases.

"After you find all this out, the killing blow is when you learn that milk causes osteoporosis, because metabolizing all this artificial manmade food steals calcium from the bones and teeth. Who’s got the highest incidence of osteoporosis in the world? Scandinavia, Germany, and the U.S., especially states like Wisconsin—places with what? Highest dairy consumption. (Twogood, Appleton, Howell, McDougall. Douglas)"

Give me a study that shows that milk is the cause of osteoporosis. Epidemiological studies rarely show shit. There are thousands of factors that one has to account for...they simply show correlations.

"‘Lactose intolerance,’ - you always hear that. There’s no such thing. They want to pretend some people have a genetic defect whereby they can’t digest milk sugar. Lactose is milk sugar. But it’s not the milk sugar we’re allergic to - it’s the milk. We all have milk intolerance. No one can digest pasteurized milk!"

I don't have lactose intolerance...I can drink a big glass of milk without shitting my guts out, unlike those with true lactase deficiency (which is again, because THEY don't produce lactase).

"But we’re not allowed to know all this. The above paragraphs challenge three separate billion-dollar industries: the sugar trust, the dairy trust, and the drug trust. None of them wants people to discover that asthma and osteoporosis can be eliminated simply by removing sugar and dairy from the diet."

So, milk and sugar are the causes of asthma..not the allergens that we can scientifically show induce an attack? So, what is seasonal allergic rhinnitis? It's the milk causing this, not pollens?

"No, no, that won’t do. "

This whole article is not scientific. Next time you would do better to support your claims with scientific research, as opposed to easily refuted diatribes.

MILK IS TOO HIGH IN CARBS FOR ME, BUT DAMN ITS GOOD SHIT!

I'VE READ THE ANTI MILK CAMP STUFF BEFORE. AS LONG AS YOU AREN'T LACTOSE INTOLERANT OR ON LOW CARBS, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO DRINK AS MUCH AS YOU WANT.

THEY NEED TO COME OUT WITH A LOW-CARB MILK, DAMNIT

Cockdezl both food and the human body contain digestive enzymes. If the digestive enzymes in food are destroyed they have to be supplied by the pancreas which places strain on the pancreas.

"There are none so blind as those that cannot see"

This may pass as the stupidest fucking thread I have ever seen, just because it is pure psuedoscience.:bawling: I can't believe someone would take the time to write this crap. I won't even dignify this thread by giving an intelligent response.

Well stupid thread or not, I would just like to add that milk makes me feel like shit, fart all day and gives me bad breath. Im better off without it personally.

big andy----your on the button 100%..lets keep the secret between us..no one will listen..as a chiropratic nutritionist, I support all that you say....
the other day, a women came in my office after hearing one of my lectures 3 months prior...she said thank god , god put people like you on this earth,,I said why, "she said, after hearing what you said about milk and asthma, I stopped my son from drinking the 3 glasses he was drinking every morning..after 13 years of inhalers and pills,,,, his asmatha disappeared...2 weeks after he drank milk again to test the idea and was put into the hospital with difficulty breaTHing.......the reason is, the alpha protein in milk ....does not exist in human milk..our body responds the the forign protein by releasing histimines,,hence the problems....medicine is psuedo science....studies influenced by funding from pharma... companies....milk is bad...andy is on the balll...good job

wow, contradictory opinions from cockdezl and animal B, both respectable vets

guess I'll have to do my own research!

Kiss My Ass

Milk is good for you. That's the bottom line. there have been hundreds of replicable studies done to show that milk is very healthy and is part of a well balanced diet. As long as it doesn't give you the shits...milk is good stuff.

ANIMAL, this is not a secret, that milk exacerbates asthma, due to the effects it has on mucosal viscocity...HELL, even the idiot Dr's that I have dealt with know this. And if the woman's child is ALLERGIC to milk then by all means take him off of it, but your correlation is wrong. Simply because some are ALLERGIC to the proteins does not mean that it is bad for all. Do you think peanuts, corn, eggs, and all the other potential allergenic foods are BAD for everyone?
All food proteins are foreign, what food do you know of that produces human proteins?..and not one that is Genetically Modified.

ANIMAL, you are correct about one thing...you and ANDY should keep this secret to yourselves.

I second everything that cockdezl said plus what I wrote on the diet board. Again, pasteurized milk and raw milk have little nutritive value differences. They are not enough to make a fuss about. I don't want to rewrite everything I wrote on the diet board, or what cockdezl has wrote here, but I will add that the phosphatase enzyme that is deactivated in pasteurization and ULTRApasteurization help to distinguish whether or not the milk has been heated sufficiently enough to destroy pathogenic microorganisms. It also helps to distinguish it between unpasteurized milk (which potentially has the chance for unwanted organisms) if the two are mixed. As cockdezl pointed out, our bodies produce this enzyme so it doesn't really matter what happens to the milk in this regard. Heating any food will in some way or another change the nutritive value...would you suggest we not eat meats, eggs, vege's, or anything else??? Only 6% of the calcium is insoluble in milk after it has been pasteurized!!! 6% may be a big deal in your book but not mine. Also, milk in no way, shape or form prevents us from receiving calcium!!!

MR. H,
I'm no complete milk expert, but I know that Heavy Whipping Cream has NO carbs. This is the reason it is a good choice for meals within a ketogenic diet!!! It may or may not be homogenized, but it undergoes ULTRApasteurization so that the shelf life is extended for longer periods of time. If you take a look at most Heavy Whipping Creams, they will have a shelf life good for over a months time (don't know the exact time). One effect that it undergoes, due to ultrapasteurization, is that it has a diminished whipping ability. Basically, it is CREAM, which consists of extra fat droplets, depending on whether or not it has been homogenized.

I'm still laughing my ass off over the Twinkie and Cap' N Crunch thing. That was fucking funny as hell!!!
MR. BMJ
