Yo Powerslave

Just got in. Need a shower, I stink bad. Will post pics after I shower. I was in the 232-265 weight class. There were two of us. I won one event, the 18" deadlift. Finished second in the rest and overall. But I accomplished my one goal....left it all out there. I'm spent.

Currently uploading pics into my gallery. If I can figure out that uploader site I will put some there as well. I tried a few and the pics were either too big and it will not upload the e-mail sized pics.

But here is a brief rundown on events:

The first event was Atlas Stones. They went 208, 247, 285, 300 and 315 (i think). We were putting the stones onto 55 gal drums. I got the first three with ease :). The fourth stone got me :(. I forget my time.

Next was the Log Clean and Press for reps. You had to clean the log each time. I knew going in that this would be my weak event. The weight of the log was 225. I got no reps. :(

Next was the 18" deadlift. I opened at 455. Damn easy. I next went to 555, no problem. My third lift I attempted 600, no good. And this really screwed me for the next event.

Next was the Medley. It was supposed to be Yoke walk, Farmer's walk and sled pull. The did not have enough plates for all three events for us heavyweights. So, they made it a two event medley. Heavy Yoke walk and sled pull. By now, my low back had such a pump on it that the yoke kicked my ass. I could not stabilize my self to get to walking.

The final event was the standing arm over arm pull. We were pulling a cargo van that had all the equipment in it. I have no idea how heavy it was. Once I learned how to square myself to get some good pull with my hips it was too late. I forget how far I did pull it.
