Yo, JJ: Q about Show Tan

Did you use it on your face? Or just make-up? I've heard of both methods - what works best, IYO?

I don't use it on my face, nor do I tan my face. I use a facial self-tanner all year round so my face isn't ghost-like, and darken my makeup to match the rest of my skin. I ended up buying a very dark color foundation, then lighten it a little with my daily foundation color if it's too dark.

I do use it on my neck though; the nice part about show tan is it wears off nicely - doesn't have to peel off like pro-tan.

I also don't use stage makeup - since I only wear it 2-3 times/year, I went with Maybelline (the cheap, easy route). For foundation, I use Maybelline Non Stop All Day Wear Makeup in Cocoa and top it off with Maybelline PureStay Powder & Foundation in Mocha. The foundation is quite dark, and the powder is a slighly lighter shade. I've had great success with this combo - doesn't sweat off and my face looks the same color as the rest of me, even in photos.
