Yet another CKD Question:

Wraith

New member
I read on the C-K-D site that coffee should be avoided because it induces low blood sugar therby creating cravings for sweets. I drink coffee, black no cream or sugar, and I am not bothered by cravings so is it ok to continue my coffee habit or is low blood sugar an undesirable/counter productive thing?
Second question:
Fiber - is Metamucile ok (psylium husk)?

Thanks

I think coffee is fine too. I've been using psyllium husk, and find it works very well.

Re: Metamucil

I have a glass of it in the morning and at night and it works well. Does it kick me out of ketosis? I have no idea... I haven't shown any signs on the ketostix in the last few months, but I appear to be getting leaner (will get my BF tested tonight to find out for sure).
