Question,
If you are logged into ym and get disconnected for some reason, say a bad wireless connection does it automatically log you back in? I have one friend that says they were idle, then logged back in, then it keeps saying they logged back in.

Can that happen without the person even being at his computer. Say they were already logged in and it lost the connection will yahoo renew the connection automatically or does the other person have to manually log back in?

oh, and is there a way to find out who they may be talking too other than you?

nope, he is my best friend of 32 years, he is overly trusting. I got my gal.

he has wanted someone really bad for the last three years and this chickee suddenly appeared and swept him off his feet.

I used the good al rubbers when I get horizontal these days.

That is a configurable option within the application, so it isn't necessarily foul play.

where is that option so I can check it on my end. I just thought it funny that it would say they were on line, I would try to talk to them, no response and then a minute later it would say they logged out for good. Sometimes when they got logged off it would not state so or indicate, but when they manually do it says so.

I dont think it would be possible to tell who she is talking to without having access to her computer and installing a keylogger. Once you got her PW's using this http://www.keyghost.com/ then you could login as her and look at her message history/archive. There are other way's but they could be detected with an anti-spyware app.

It's easier in Trillian just to hide from a contact, using the invisibility tag.

My internet connection will shut off occasionally when I'm on Yahoo IM which logs me off but will then automatically log me back on....

Dunno if there's an option to tell who is talking to whom-else tho......

you could ask for their contact list, but that defeats the purpose.
