Please Scroll Down to See Forums Below Ordered and received a generic version of Synthroid (suffer from hypothyroidism) through a website in "George's Pharmacy" called XL Rx. Have looked through several publications as well as websites and the bottles and tablets do NOT match any description of what they are supposed to look like. Anyone else have any experience with this company?

Hey GS! Unfortunately, I am probably the last person on the planet without a digital camera, so am unable to post a pic for review. The meds are Eltroxin (100mcg T4), manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline. The tabs are round, white, and have a capitol A on one side with a line going down the center of the opposite side. All available literature agrees that these should be small, yellow and uncoated. They are engraved with 100 on top of a dividing line on one side and are unmarked on the other side. I would go to Kinkos and get the stuff scanned. Did the FDA open the bottle? What is the country of origin for the Meds? Did you check the GlaxoSmithKline site for that country? Now you have me curious.

Another thing to do is to call XL on Monday and express your concern - post up what they say. Also, if you go Plat, you can expand the thousands of drug pics on the site.

George Spellwin, gave some pointers on picture posting. If you don't have digital camera, you can use a regular camera, take a picture and have it developed. In the USA I think you can ask for a CD disk with pictures on it, or you can take the picture to kinkos and have it scanned.
When you have the picture in digital format. Click
"REPLY" like you have been doing, scroll down to Additional Options and click
"UPLOAD PICTURES AND FILES"
click BROWSE
and double click ont he picture you are uploading
click UPLOAD
then close window
SUBMIT post.

The Eltroxin sold in Asian markets is a round white tab with "ELTROXIN GLAXO 100" imprint on one side. I would be suprised if they produced a tab for another market without a similar imprint.

UPDATE!! Well it's been 2 weeks since I emailed the company about my concerns and still no response. I'm not going to go out on a limb and say something about this company that may get me in trouble with the mods or GS, but somethings just not right. They sure as shit didn't take their time about charging this to my credit card, you know?
