wtf is wrong with TEXAS?

i saw on the news this morning people getting rested for public intoxication.

the kicker is they were at a hotel bar they were staying at. they arrested 2 people and the bartender for overserving customers.

apparently the police can judge themself who's intoxicated and who's not without giving a breathalizer.

they also showed a guy getting arrested that had a designated driver.

It's like that in 50 states. Cops can arrest u for being drunk ANYWHERE. Few cops rarely enforce it tho unless you're on the street. But it doesn't say "you have to be OUTSIDE a drinking establishment" for them to do it.

no bro they are physically going into the bar and just arresting people they feel are intoxicated.

That same thing has happened in VA too in the past year or so. It made the newspapers because it pissed so many people off. Cops were just walking into bars arresting people for public intoxication. Personally, I think that's bullshit! DC has a zero tolerance policy on drinking and driving. Meaning if you blow a .01 you can be arrested and charged with a DUI. Drinking and driving is obviously a bad thing, but hell, you could blow a .01 after 1 glass of wine.
