wtf is up with karma???

I forget how that happens - it is either when you get karma on a thread that was deleted - or it is if you get the karma via a bug... it is one of the two

there used to be holes that allowed people to give you karma, good or bad, en masse.
they did a few things to stop it - not sure if all the holes are plugged up though.

for the most part... well, no - in its entirety - karma is pointless

Internet Bug "Karma Sluta" Is On The Loose


Karma Sluta is a worm virus spreading via the Elite Fitness website as a karma message. This worm also has backdoor and key-spy routines.

The worm itself is a Windows PE EXE file about 355Kb in size (compressed by UPX, its decompressed size is about 675Kb), written in Delphi.

The infected karma messages have an attached EXE file with a name randomly selected from the following variants:

wodin.exe
cornholio.exe
huck.exe
matt.exe
kronk.exe
huckleberry.exe
bikinimom.exe
ryanh.exe
velvett.exe
manny78.exe

The karma message are rarely signed and the body is also randomly selected from several variants including, but not limited to:


"I will find your house and burn it down!"

"Shit for Brains!"

"Consider Suicide? I would love to see you dangling from a noose, blood spurting from the gash that the rope made, smacking you in the head with a rusty spade."

"Nice post you fucking pig. Your mom would be proud!"

"Your comments are getting as old as WODIN"

"Damn Canadians!"

"I would sodomize you with your head in the toilette!!!"

"communist."




If you receive one of these karma messages do not panic they are harmless. However, it is recommended that you run a virus scan immediately to prevent the spread of bad karma.
 
lol - calm down there sparky - karma means nothing. if I could give you all of mine I would.

what does the message say?

if it says "have some" I was trying out one of the old holes to see if it was there and I might have forgotten to put whether it is good or bad - and it might then default to bad.

if that is the case - sorry - just was playing with it - no harm meant - if it bothers you, feel free to give me all the bad karma you like all your life - I couldn't possibly care any less.

Yup that was it....

I may mean 'nothing' to you with close to 10,000 post and a shitload of Karma and contacts, but for me a newbie trying to get establish and network it can have an impact...

NO I will not return the Karma.. that's not my style...
