Those skinny guys seem to make the best basketball players. They can move better. They wouldn't do worth a shit on a football field though.

Some would. Moss was a BB player for example.

Yeah, some of them would make defensive backs and wideouts I guess, but damn are they skinny and weak looking.

yeah but they're not playing football. that's like saying a boxer wouldn't make a good golf player.

if you guys are at all talking about performance in the rookie game then you can just forget it.

that game was the biggest joke i have seen in a very long time

Two fotball players who tried their hands at boxing are Mark Gastineau and Tony Mandarich. They both sucked. Gastineau had a cool jersey though:

fine. but his performace so far in the reglar season is pretty fucking good. they are 7 games over .500 so far this season. last year they finished 17-65.

lebron and carmelo are great and all, but ESPN and the rest of sports media needs to quit dickriding!

there's no way in hell EITHER of them should have made the all-star team, yet people act like they got snubbed.

last nights game was a joke, would have been 10x better and closer had they played a lick of defense. start giving credit to the other rookies that are exceeding expectations!

the nba, like a lot of things media related, is all about hype.

yeah i realize that but it's getting ridiculous. they don't give credit to anyone but those two. for example, thursday night that white PG for the bulls, hinrich, had like 25 pts and 14 assists and sat out almost all of the 4th quarter. where's the props?!?! then in the rookie game he threw a perfect alley-oop to lebron, like 25 feet away and just flipped it underhand perfectly near the basket but the commentators didn't even mention his name, just that carmelo and lebron are really putting on a great show.

I blame stuart scott.

Not saying that it's right, but it comes down to who's going to bring fans in to fill the seats and buy the overpriced food and jerseys. So I'm pretty sure the NBA is putting pressure on annoucers that work for companies that pay lots of money to the NBA to televise their games to push the hell out of lebron and anthony since they are the "rising stars" (hate the term) of the NBA. I mean christ, there appeared to be lots of entertainment industry people attending a game that for the most part nobody payed attention too. Fucking Puff Daddy was on the court making a phone call.

lol, I agree with you, when I think football I think running the ball and blocking. everything else is specialty stuff. Football is running the ball and blocking.
