Watch this video, especially the last guy that gets whipped. It looks pretty barbaric but I wonder if it reduces crime.

Malaysia also has some "unusual" ideas regarding what is considered a crime. These "criminals" may be rapists or they may also have simply failed to show up at a mosque on Friday to kneel on the floor and pray to Allah.

Anyway, Singapore has low crime because their citizens have been beaten into submission.

Look at the draconian drag laws and dui laws here in the us.

Do they stop drug usage? Are people not smoking weed or driving drunk?

Nope. All their 'tought on crime' philosophy is thrown out the window, when people are beaten for stealing gum.
