wowsers. that shit is SCARY. I watched a show about a flight that crashed coming from Mexico, I think. Man it was so freightening how the pilot just assumed that the autopilot came up with the right destination, and punched the button to make that the course without looking. He crashed them right into a mountainside.

My boyfriend, who's been a travel writer for more than 15 years and has landed on runways consisting mostly of grass, with a cinderblock terminal building and the local welcoming party covered in nothing but mud and chicken feathers, still insists that TAM was the worst air travel experience he's ever had.
