Yeah, I think he is underpaying me. He may see it different. I probably just offended him after he IM'd me.

I work with my best friend. I couldn't imagine a better situation.

how true.........my (at the time) best friend all thru college finished a year a head of me.

after i finally graduated with a "marketable" degree; he got me on at the same financial firm he worked for. due to hard grunt work, not talking back, long grinding hours and some subtle ass kissing, he made supervisor in record time. he LIVED for his job, poor man. it was thw source of his entire self worth.

i didn't feel so strongly about the job; in fact i loathed the place. our friendship started to drift apart.....after i finally quit the place, he took it as a pesonal insult. our friendship suffered more; eventually we became strangers to each other.

his wife was very happy, the money chasing, social climbing, pretentious, noveau upper middle class bitch!! they both are living in yuppyville, with 2 behavior-challenged ankle biters, struggling to pay for their lifestyle. paying for two new lexuses and camry's for the kids is a bitch!!!!!!!

You may have slid through the cracks. Are you his boss, or he yours? That`s when things go downhill. I`ve seen it happen too many times. friendships actually go to shit because of it.

Plus, if I`m making a kazillion dollars a year like you Matt, I would let things slide too. lol We`re talking about "normal" people`s lives here. lol

He's the CEO and Chairman, I (along with two others, a lare private investor and the CFO) are in the "Office of the Chairman."

I will admit it requires a lot of maturity, becuase there are times we want to kill each other. And you're right there is a financial aspect to it as well; our interests are mutually aligned.

I guess I am actually pretty lucky; in the past I have lost friends over money (most of my college friends won't even talk to me now) and it sucks.
