In Denver there is a place called Hell House, has been closed the last few years but its suppose to open up again. Pretty nuts.
DENVER -- The annual presentation of Hell House, an evangelical Halloween event that presents young people with scenes of hellish retribution for the commission of a variety of mortal sins, will this year feature a gay wedding, the Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News report.
Hell House Returns
Presented by the Abundant Life Christian Center in Arvada, a staged walk-through past scenes depicting eternal damnation for abortion, adultery, homosexuality, drinking and gambling, would be almost laughable, say critics, if its presentation was not so patently offensive.
The 5th annual Hell House has removed the scene featuring Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky committing the sin of adultery in the Oval Office. And in a nod to the still raw emotions evoked by Columbine, gone, too, is the scene of a trenchcoat wearing teen gunman.
Both scenes have been replaced with a dual presentation presenting the horrors of homosexuality. The first scene features a gay wedding, though one of the grooms will actually be a young woman. "They kiss at the end of the ceremony, and I'm just not going to have two guys kissing," said Keenan Roberts, one of the church's leaders.

"We intend to scare the hell out them."

The next scene, predictably, depicts one of them in a hospital bed dying of AIDS. The AIDS scene has provoked public outcry and large scale protests in past years.
Suzanne Banning, executive director of the Colorado Legal Initiatives Project, told the Rocky Mountain News, "It's tough to comment on something that's so ignorant. We see committed, monogamous relationships that deserve recognition and don't end up in the way this is portrayed -- with death and destruction."
Another scene in Hell House will simulate an abortion, taking the viewer through the mother's life as she sees happy events her daughter would have experienced if she hadn't been aborted. In many of the scenes, animal parts are used to portray an aborted fetus.
A rave club scene has also been added, showing a church-going girl who gets into drugs and dies.
Hell House has received national publicity, and Roberts predicts more this year. "I expect a lot of interest because of the gay wedding," he said. Roberts says he likes the publicity because he says it is the church's responsibility "to battle sin of every kind. We're not going to soften our approach. We will continue to be bold."
