I don't think that children should serve as a replacement for ADULT friendship, companionship or as an emotional connection. I am crazy close to my parents, but I wouldn't want to serve as their confidant or companion. I am their child, yes their friend too, but above all....they are my parents first and foremost.

As for vibrator vs actual sex, I'll take actual sex ANY DAY. The physical connection means more to me than simply getting off. I can get myself off no problem....I want to enjoy the experience with my partner. And I'll take the good with the bad. I am not perfect, nor do I expect my partner to be.

I am still trying to figure how we got so serious all of the sudden from such an obviously silly post.

As a side note, I am nearly 40 years old, mother to several small children, married faithfully for 13 years. I don't need nor do I want a lecture on the difference between an adult/adult relationship and the parent/child relationship.
