KillahSTD - how about some details man. I had a steroid injection into my midback 2 years ago. It fucked me up for almost 3 months. I will NEVER let anyone do that to me again. They said "you'll have increased pain for a few days but after a week, 10 days at the most, you'll feel BETTER than you did before."
Well, a week came and went and no fucking relief. 2 weeks, nothing. 3 weeks, etc. I still want to go back to that office and kick every fucking bitch nurse there in the pussy and shove needles through the fucking towelhead doctors eyes.

Next month it'll be 4 years since I injured my back. I've been dicking with doctors since Oct 01, and pretty much just gave up.
Man, I'll tell ya, the absolute WORST is when I'm constipated. The one disc ties directly into my guts. I'd almost rather blow my head off than deal with that pain.
Killah - my case was probably one of those "isolated incidents" where the shit didn't work. Good luck, and mother fucking follow doctors orders afterwards.

Killah - did they say no food or fluids for 8 hours or whatever prior to the shot? They told me something like that. I didn't really listen and had a cup or two before we left the house. I also wasn't supposed to drive myself home (gf went with me, so she drove home). Hell, I wasn't supposed to do much of anything for 3 days, but I kind of had to with 2 kids in the house. At least my gf was supportive and did as much as she could for the next few weeks.

appreciate all the well wishes brohamlies and brovaginas. Phase I (the actual injection) is now complete. It wasn't that bad. The initial anasthetic injection was the worst of them all. Lots of burning, and weird feelings when you can feel the medication working its way through the nerves all the way down your leg. But on the pain scale, not too bad.
Phase II will occur in a bit - when the numbness goes away I will most likely have some pain later today and for a day or so.
Phase III involves my injuries getting/feeling better in 2-3 days.
Phase IIII involves me beginning light activity this weekend. Then I see the Doc on Tuesday and Phase IV begins - rehab and getting back into it. Hopefully it all works out.
My asscrack is all numb, which is a very weird feeling. I like it.

On a personal note, I had an epidural once. The anesthesiologist said I had a 10% chance that I would get headaches because the needle injection site might not close properly after the injection.
Sure enough, I was getting headaches because the site didn't close up, so I had to go back in for a blood patch. No more headaches.
