winny shot, whats next?

uhoh.. i think i may have been a little careless this morning..

I took a winny shot in the leg. Don't ask me WHY, but i was standing instead of sitting and didnt aspirate like usual. A little bit of blood shot out (no shocking matter) and I was ok with that.

Then about 5 sec later, a huge vein bulged at the injection site, and tons of little tiny ones turned blue around the area. Looks kinda like an older persons vericose veins all around it,. I just threw on an ice bag and applied pressure. But now what should I do.

What is this? What should I expect will happen next?

Nothing it should resolve on its own. Might get a nice bruise there though. Ice is a good idea a couple time a day for 20 min at a time with a washcloth between the ice and your skin.

DO you think I injected in the vein, or just went "in and out" ??

Of the 100's of shots I've taken, this is the first time I've seen all these little blue veins pop up to the surface like this.

Exactly, pretty much nothing will happen. Just a bruise...
