Will Smarty Jones make history?

The horse is not likely to win. It hasn't happened very often. Still, I am pulling for the horse. I would really enjoy seeing this horse win the Triple Crown. I will be betting with the horse BTW.

A dear friend of mine is prominent Philly man - all jazzed over this. I was with him while watching the horse win the last race. It was really funny to watch him all psyched over this.

I may go over to his place to watch this race as well.

I was never big into watching sporting events but it was so funny to watch him into it! LOL I hope the horse wins. It'll be quite a hoot!

Oh I have no idea where any of these races are, just that Smarty Jones is from Philly so the whole town is going ga-ga over it. I don't bet on horses, never have and honestly I don't care to wager. I don't follow this sport at all, but I watched the last race on TV when I was with my friend. The race was very exciting...

Funny thing, I was also with this friend of mine on a plane coming to Philly from VT a little over a year ago - it was when the football team from Philly (I am sorry, but I don't recall the name of the team) was in Superbowl contention. There were some other prominent peeps on the flight and one of them lead the plane in some sort of fight song or something - pretty nutty sports fans I think. But there was a silly right up in the paper about it the next day.

I just have to shake my head and smile about the silliness of it all, but it was neat to see people exhibiting hometown pride and it's nice to see something positive - even if it is only "fluff". One gets tired of all the negative bullshit constantly bombarding the news.
 
How can anyone think this horse will not win? He totally blew away the competition at the Preakness. Has anybody even come close to beating this horse yet? If I was a betting man, that's who my money would be on. I don't think anybody will touch him, but what the hell do I know. :)
 
Yeah people in Philly are pumped over Smarty Jones because all of our sports teams always let us down. The horse is the only thing we got left.

Nobody's gonna win shit by betting on Smarty. You would get pennies back on the dollar because he's so favored.
