yes yes yes, i understand that it should shut you down completely etc. because if it didn't, then what would stop your body from producing say 800 mg/week test naturally if it's negative feedback loops didn't work. i've considered all that. but i'm still left with doubts.
beezers, i know that ball size isn't a tell all of whether test function is up and running, but it certainly must be a correlation of some degree. when balls aren't producing test, the seritoli cells can shrink in size, as it is for many people. but yes, perhaps my cells didn't shrink despite the fact that they were essentially dormant.
but another sign was ejaculation. yes ejaculation volume don't mean shit, but what if it's a huge creamy load, like solid white? not clear like semen, but white, indicating sperm. that is simply a roughewn bullshit way of telling whether FSH levels are at normal levels, i know, but i could mean something. even so, i'm sure that just because your giz is white, that doesn't necessarily mean that your sperm count is up to par.
also, after the cycle, i didn't notice signs of lowered test. but again, that could be bullshit as well. perhaps my natural levels restored themselves quickly, or perhaps i didnt' notice my lowered levels.
as you can see, i'm covering my ass, but there are always possibilities. for instance, if everything worked the way it should theoretically, then how come some guys have permanantly lowered testosterone levels from steroid use? the point is, you can never know, and steroids are dangerous.
the old analogy of ''well, women use the pill'' doesn't necessarily hold up with men. women have naturally fluctuating progesterone/estrogen levels throughout the month, indicating that there hypothalamus and pituatary are highly active, and sensitive.
ie. for the last 14 days of a womans menstrual cycle, she is producing very little estrogen, whereas on the day of ovulation, it spikes. woman even have a point of positive feedback. just before the egg is released each month, woman's estrogen levels peak, which causes a POSITIVE feedback situation where luetinizing hormone surges, which causes the release of the egg from the ovary.
menstruation is stimulated by the sharp fall in progesterone (which helps maintain uterine lining). progesterone levels fall to almost zero, while estrogen levels begin to rise again.
point being...it's all fucked up all the time.
but men have relatively constant test levels (aside from slight fluctuations througout the day) all there life. who are we to say that our feedback system is as sensitive and responsive as womens'? if it is as sensitive, then perhaps when the testicle cells are dormant, the lose some of their capacity to produce testosterone. who knows.
this is all just some shit to think about.
