Why we're doomed

That shit is depressing.
how can this country keep going like this and expect anything other then total collapse?

Manufacturing jobs will return when the government turns a blind eye to horrible working conditions AND when the world has run out of schmucks living in dirt floor huts willing to work for $10/week.

Google foxconn + suicide. Over the last two years, at least 16 Foxconn employees have committed suicide in the company's Shenzhen, China factory. On Jan. 2, over 300 employees at a Foxconn plant in Wuhan, China threatened to throw themselves off a building in a mass suicide. Foxconn makes Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony products. These workers manufacture Xbox 360s. The company basically said "fuck you, get back to work" and the workers pretty much did.

We lost those jobs because our standard of living has gone UP, same reason not as much shit says "made in Japan" on it anymore....theirs went up to so they're not willing to work for shekels any longer. People need to man up and retrain themselves for the jobs we do have.

And that's what guys like Plunkey want, for us to deregulate ourselves back to the 19th century.

China won't be the holy grail forever. They face uncertainties in many aspects of their economy.

Yeah, I wonder if the manufacturing bubble is sustainable, if the government can continue to afford to subsidize building factories and dormitories on demand forever?

But there's 1,339,724,852 of them.

1) globally competitive does not mean absolute lowest price.

2) America's own policies helped expedite the flow of jobs overseas.

3) while our own nationalized education system spent its time and money protecting teachers unions, the emerging world hit the books.

4) now the rest of world doesn't just make it cheaper, they make it better too.

5) now, instead of taking measures to restore our competitiveness, the same libtards who drove the jobs off and dumbed-down the kids want us to believe it's the 1%'s fault.

That's why I'm kinda pulling for Barry. If America wants him, then we deserve what we get.

People I know here in this country would say they are too good/qualified for these jobs and just get welfare.

Manufacturing and jobs have moved to Asia for one reason, and it has nothing to do with our policies. It has happened Because It Is Possible. If the infrastructure had been there earlier, it would have happened earlier.

Jobs will continue to move to new countries until it doesnt make $$ sense to. Welcome to capitalism. The new world economy will eventually bring most people up the same level - with the exception of Africa.

The GOP approach is to bring us down to their level.

If you believe there's no hope, then why bother?

What's your game plan?

Like Dial_Tone said, read up on Foxconn. Holy hell, new hires have to sign a contract promising that they won't kill themselves due to the workload... wtf
