Why was this locked?

bump

I think it would be cool (appropriate) if the MOD who locked a thread actually had to sign - "Locked By *******" and a reason given would help US not repeat the mistake.

Instead, with this thread - it's almost as if someone wants to divert attention away from generic sources and radiate it toward possible "fruitive" ones.

I'd have to say because it's just a blatin question about sources..All though not specific to which source or what site...That question is a key setup for some slow brained person to post a name or site..This is how sources have been snagged in the past...It's also a setup to get yourself scammed and if this guy kid or whoever goes around asking these questions he's going to get scammed and I do not like that shit EITHER..This is my opinion

Very nice input. What do we do? Thnk George will listen if we ask him to assign an automatically generated signature to each mod that states exactly that when they move or lock threads? I think it would be a great idea myself.. YOU?

Too vague Scout - no one posted anything - and last week a DIRECT SOURCE was posted and no one closed the thread. Ameri-****

Also - you seem a little worked up - settle down little one.................

I agree.. It was pretty vague on a source though it was definitely heading in that direction I can't imagine why it would have been locked so soon.

this is when the powers-that-be get together and send (1) mod out to make up some story as to how locking a certain thread has to do with rules and a judgement call.

I wondering also, just as i was scrolling down the board i saw i saw a thread with a source name so i am curious as to why a thread that had no names get's closed while there's thread's with the title of a brand on it. I do agree though that a name would have eventually been thrown out there.

I got your back.

I was the last to post on it. Came back to check on it about half an hour later and it had been locked.
I guess threads like it can lead to not so great things happening, beacuse about an hour after that, I received PM asking me for my source. Not saying I agree with the thread being locked. I obviously saw no problem with the discussion since I too was taking part in it, but I guess I see what whoever locked it was trying to prevent.....maybe? :whatever:

People when they sign up should need to go through an instructional lesson plan on what not to post and what you can post on this website. Its pretty plain and simple, everyone is worried about new people doing it, make them learn before and not after it happens...anyone else agree?

Like something like, before you go on to the forum, read this and then once they do it if they do, they have no excuses and are banned or kicked off the website..sorry for the two posts

Well said.

Just out of curiosity - I don't want to repeat the same mistakes these guys made (or didn't make)

I locked the thread. Usually I post something, but I made a mistake and didn't post my usual message there. I also sent you a PM about it, about 30min ago.

I found the discussion of buying steroids and the "minimums" of the buy will only bring about problems. It was a subjective call, I am sure not everyone agrees with it. Over my years, I've seen members scammed and sources develop business just by capitalizing on threads where newbies ask about steroid pricing and orders. Keep in mind, steroids are illegal in the U.S.A, and there is a certain delicate way of handling source discussion. Most of the time these calls are subjective at best. I am open to ideas and suggestions in regards to these posts.

We'll I was just stating in regards to all posts, and I dont know how you would ever set it up, but because this site is censored by the feds or whatever and yes we are trying to keep people from being scammed, we should make it manditory for people to read something kind of like they sicky posted and then take short test to make sure they know the rules before they make even their first post just to get on the forum. Otherwise these problems are going to go on forever I believe unless we do something about it from the begginning because I know even when I came on the page, I didnt even know what stickys were or not to post sources or anything like that. I think that would lead to an even brighter future for Elitefitness.com and those who communicate on it safely. Thanks for taking a suggestion

You make some valid points. Thank you for the feedback. I think we do need some more rule enforcement, and I hope to talk to other moderators about the issue.

I think all members have to sign (agree) the TOS before they join, but I doubt they really read it. The problems with newbies will continue, there is not sure way to stop it. However, I do think we can minimize the problem by pointing them in the right direction to read and learn about the rules and forum etiquette - just as you suggested.

Personally, I think this is a team effort, members helping mods. take care of this great forum :)

Your right, it's a team thing. You've been right to me in the past and I have no reason not to help out around here too. I know a lot of bro's feel the same because if this ever got shut down, it'd be hard to replace. Plus, I think you mods do a good job at keeping on top of your job and reviewing all threads just about especially you Mr. X. I'll do my best thanks
