WHY WAS FLEX123'S THREAD LOCKED....BUT NOT HAVOC'S THREAD!!!

I'M JUST CURIOUS AS TO WHY FLEX HAD A THREAD ABOUT PERCOCETS LOCKED BUT HAVOC POSTED NEARLY THE SAME THING ABOUT HASH AND WEED, BUT IT WASNT LOCKED.

I POSTED A COMMENT ON HAVOCS THREAD. IT SAID "IF A NORMAL MEMBER POSTED THIS, IT WOULD BE LOCKED". WELL, A NORMAL MEMBER POSTED IT, AND ITS LOCKED.

SAME WITH THE METHAMPHETAMINE THREAD A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO. IT WAS LOCKED AS WELL YET HAVOCS THREAD WASNT.

I believe perc is a narcotic, but, it just didn't look right sitting next to meth.

I was surprised it was locked also. Some people on the board have legitimate uses and prescriptions for them. Just because they didn't state that in the thread didn't mean it should be locked. Plus, all posts are for entertainment purposes only.

Last night I had two percs so I took one and about over an hour later as I sat in bed reading a book I didn't feel anything from taking one...so I was about two take the other one but decided to smoke a but first and take a piss. Well when I got back in bed and started smoking my ciggy that thing kicked in and made my eyes start spinning and killed my stomach(I didn't eat all night). Realized right then it was time for me to close my eyes and go nightty night...Thank God I decided to wait before taking the second pill I would have been tossed from two of those.

I finally got myself also 6 hours of sleep before work...Maybe tonight I'll take the other one and have an early night.

The sticky came down because Cornholio, to his credit, responded to a pm that I sent him..........he did it himself. It didn't have anything to do with the email........did I say it did? Uh nope. The email was sent because Cornholio suggested it himself. I think it was clear to him that this was the best way to deal with it........we were both getting hot-headed and it was getting us nowhere.

The response that I received from George convinced me that he, or a member of staff (?), read my entire email and considered it. The sticky was already down at this time so that is not an issue. Last time I checked George was humble enough to accept members opinions of the site.........non-paying and paying.

I don't recall it mattering whether you are a paying member or not when it comes to posting on the Chat baord. We all have access right? Or are you suggesting that a class system exists on the board with say mods at the top, paying members next and then non-paying members? Paying for membership gives you access to other benefits........access to that board is not part of the package. Why is this an issue?

I would say that your response about a class system is a little silly, but would say this. Mods are here to run and control the boards and members. We "moderate" the discussions and control what does or does not stay on the site. I would also say that "yes" a paying member would hold more weight than a non paying member, because the pay for the site. This site does not operate for free and bandwidth is costly. The members that support our site, not only get access to other areas, they actually keep the site running.

I am not at all trying to argue with you IMD, I was simply asking questions. It seems to me quite juvenile to be complaining about the chat board and what is made a sticky or not. I simply wanted to ask you a few questions to get some answers and to also gauge your response. Thank you for your response.

It appears that you like being at Elite and like spending time here. Why don't you support the site that you spend so much time at, George would be grateful I am sure.

I realised you were just asking questions.......its cool. Nobody would understand anything or anybody else witohut questions.

Let me address the most important point first. Yes I do enjoy this site.........without a doubt. I probably spend more time here than is healthy . In the past I have avoided paying for membership for several reasons. However, George's response to my email has pretty much convinced me to opt in. I am awaiting my next pay check before I do though

When you say that paying members should have more weight than non-paying members you are actually saying what I meant by a class system.........I guess something is lost in the translation (I am a brit).

Ok regarding my opinions on stickies. They are there for a reason......to serve a purpose. My original complaint (I'm sure we don't need to drag up the whole messy thread) was that a mod was using the stickies to serve his own purposes rather than the entire sites. This seemed to be wrong to me. You imply that mods are here to serve the site by moderating board content etc......using stickies for their own purposes might seem minor but it is typical of the things that members find annoying about some mods. It is a small part of a larger problem.

Sorry for rambling.........trying to do several tings at once I hope that all made sense.
