Why no fruits at night?

ok, i know this has been talked about many times, but here is my concern:

Im bulking right now and have my ratios working pretty good at 50/30/20..... so, if I were to eat say some strawberries or grapes before bed as a snack, would this be bad? spceifically what would it do different at night compared to if I ate them after bearkfast or at lunch? Will they turn to fat faster at night?

I usually just stick to protein and a little fat, but just was wondering about having some strawberries along with that :p

In the morning your liver glycogen is likely depleted. If you eat fruit while your liver glycogen is full, liver glycogen is converted to fat. Your liver glycogen is probably nearly full during the night, and fruit doesn't replenish muscle glycogen as well as complex carbohydrate. Although complex carbohydrates can contribute to fat-gain, it still gives more of a chance to the muscles to absorb some of the blood glucose released as a result of ingesting complex carbohydrates.

thanks plornive for the quick and detailed response.... thats what i wanted to know :D makes sense...

So i guess i can wait till morning and load up on some raisens in my oatmeal for breakfast ... :p
