why is it so hard to get gear tested for quality?

I read post after post about people complaining about "this gear was shit and I saw tests or it posted" and no one ever seems to have any proof scaned in .jpg form to post. Why can't just any of us take the product and have it tested at a lab? is it illegal?

some people do do this but it takes a good bit of money and you have to find a lab that will do it on an individual basis. There are individuals that get a bunch of people to send them some part of their gear to get it tested... happens every once in awhile... can't test everything though.

I'll try...

First the average joe cannot typically submit a sample of some chemical to a lab for analysis without some academic credentials or somethng similar which says that you are legally justified for posessing a controlled substance.

Second, and proabaly more important, do you have any idea how a lab will charge for a MS or HPLC procedure. Depending on your relationship with that lab and how much sample you need analyzed, the cost can easily reach three digits.

hmmm....so mostly it's the money factor then, because I know I have seen labs on the net that you can send them samples for testing.

1st ester $90

2nd ester $60

Each additional ester is $30
