Why do you loose size after cycle?

To build muscle you have to tear the fibres and have them be rebuilt. Doing this multiple times creates more fibres causeing the muscle size to increase.

Now barring all water weight, why would you loose size after cycle without PCT? Even with PCT you still loose size.

thanks guys K to ppl with good info

Excuse the oversimplification, but here goes. When you go off AAS your natural test production gets shut down, so you lose muscle. That's why hcg/clomid is used post cycle to kick start your natural test production again -hopefully minimizing loss in gains. You estrogen levels increase too=higher BF-which is why anti estrogens like nolva is used. In addition, most guys simply don't train as hard or diet like they should when they're not on any AAS-resulting in muscular atrophy.

right on the money.... :coffee:

Pending on some of the substances you are using, you may also be retaining water. Once the substance clears your system, so does the water. Thus, you do lose some size, but that's not a bad thing. I also think that your diet dictates what you keep and what you lose. Keep eating big and clean, you should retain a lot of what you worked hard to put on.

Atrophy I understand but the test i dont.

Once the muscle is built why would it decrease if the stimulation stays constant. Why would the amount of test decrease fibres that is already there?

yeah alot of people 'blow' up and put on weight whilst on, this is due to water retention, this happens alot to people who use certain gear aswell, anadrol is the worst for that, so when you come off, you lose the water. I do small courses now, this doesnt make me blow up as such, so hopefully i keep all the size and gains i put on.

Most of muscle growth is not due to hyperplasia, where new muscle cells are formed from mytosis. The growth comes from adding tiny fibers inside the cells themselves. When test is low these fibers can break down and be used for things like energy or whatever the cell needs it for. Without the stimulus of the test, the fibers you added may not persist.

that's pretty much what I was thinking. The body needs a certain amount of test to maintain a certain amount of muscle.

Thank you bro! K to you. That is what I was looking for

However this thread proves a point since not many read it.

1) People have no idea how muscles are built or destroyed and take AS anyway
2) People dont Care how muscles are built or destroyed and take AS anyway.

Both points point to the fact people need to stop and look around before shooting AS!!!

"Restarting natural testosterone production as quickly as possible is of a special concern in males at the end of a cycle of AAS. The price paid by bodybuilders for failing to raise natural test levels is the loss of most if not all the hard earned muscle you have gained, the main cause is cortisol. Cortisol sends a message to the muscles that is opposite to that of testosterone. If cortisol is not dealt with (because of an extremely low testosterone level) it will quickly strip away the new and hard earned muscle you have just gotten."

Quoted from an HCG Profile. Says the same as above just adds cortisol's role into the equation.
