The connection is that both require belief without rock solid proof. Global warming is a theory and there are people on both sides of the fence. God can also be though of as a theory and there are people on both sides of that fence as well.
The people that I've seen be mostly against global warming are the neocons. Yet, some (or at least the ones that I've talked to) are also for creationism. Hence, my question was how can you believe in one and shoot down the other given that both are debatable.

On the contrary, over centuries many of the most educated people who have ever walked the earth profess that there is a God. There are reams and artifacts the world over supporting these beliefs. Modern civilizations and culture are built on man's worship and history with God. Yet some don't believe.
