why do i have to subscribe to a thread that i started

i don't understand the whole threas subscribing thing. I've never physicallyt done anything yo subscribe to something it jus does it automatically. Also only to certain threads.

I dont remember it automatically subscribing you to your own threads. But, if it did, my guess would be they disabled it because no one realized it was happing and causing a lot of extra data to be stored.

I get automatically signed to random threads that I post on. Not allof them just random threads. I think I get subscribed to all threads I start.

I've noticed this same thing! I always go to my profile to see what folks have replied to, and about 2 weeks ago I started realizing that most threads that I start and reply to do not end up there like they used to.
