Why chew IP's tabs?

Just wondering why it's best to chew IP's tabs.

They are small and tightly packed. I chew them cause I don't want to risk just shitting out the whole tab.

The tabs are designed for ease of shipping, not gastro-intestinal bio-availability.

I take a razor blade and slice the pills in half, aslong as the inside of the pill is exposed you should be fine.... That's what I think....

Definitely chew or crush them before swallowing.

because the guy who makes them tells so

he gives the advice of crushing them in the mouth, so nothing will be excreted before used.

A problem that occured in the pharmaceutical industry for many years was low availability of drug due to poor tablet production. If the pill is pressed too hard, then little will dissolve and be absorbed.

Since IP's products are not high grade pharmaceuticals, then it is wise to crush the tabs first to increase the surface area of the pills to increase dissolution and absorption.
