This is waaaaaaay petty of me, but I know FOR A FACT that this annoys the shit out of her, so I beg the board's indulgence.

I could have walked out of court today, my husband and I working TOGETHER to help our children through some very difficult adjustments... BUT THAT FAT, UGLY, 3RD RATE PISSANT BITCH HAD TO FUCK WITH ME. AND NOW I KNOW FOR FACT THAT IT IS PERSONAL ON HER END.

She is not only a pathetic excuse for an attorney but the fact that she PURPOSELY tried to put seriously restrictive language (that was so stupid and contradictory that even the judge agreed it was) into my divorce decree to keep me from my children PROVES THAT SHE IS A LOW-LIFE SCUM-SUCKING SOULLESS BITCH and that her children are indeed in a sad situation. I don't NEED to know her to make this determination. I can make it soundly based on THE FACT OF HER BEHAVIOR IN THIS CASE

I think, to legally meet the libel statutes in most states, the party being slandered must be named or be made known.

But your point is well made.

Although I honestly never consider Moderators as representatives for the board. They more or less exist only to be digital janitors.

my point has always been that almost everyone
violates the TOS daily...

it is written so that it invites arbitrariness by its
wide standards of what is acceptable vs. what is not...

the wide standards do not bother me and the fact that
the TOS is not rigidly followed does not bother me at all...

what bothers me is that when a person accepts a position
of authority, certain requirements of behavior SHOULD follow that
appointment...

following members (who are subject to your power to edit, delete, and ban) and interjecting disagreements from other threads in an attempt to anger those members into losing their cool and then reporting them to the management(who probably dont have time to qualify all the allegations) is not a proper exercise of that authority...

that is not to say that mods arent board members too who can cut up and have fun...

no one wants that...

I’m often hesitant to wade into this avenue, because it often meanders into the depths of name calling, SHOUTING, mindless rants, etc…. the standard internet based flamefest. Often, nothing gets accomplished in the midst of all the invectives being tossed around.

That being said, the point raised is valid and I’ll throw in my 2 cents.

I agree that the TOS seems to be written in a manner that leaves a wide variety of activity open for interpretation. It’s a whole lot of gray versus clear-cut black and white. People can have fun, maybe accidentally step on some toes and then apologize for stepping on said toes. That really shouldn’t be a TOS killer.

There is a difference between good natured bantering or mild disagreement vs. what exists in p0ink’s repost. In my opinion that crossed the line, especially from mods who are supposed to enforce the TOS. I’d like to get a read on that opinion from a mod.

Now that I’ve said that, what’s the point?

I guess the point would be for a bit more self restraint. Not only from members, but from mods as well.

the point is to show the major inconsistencies here.

there is no reason for the TOS to be 'enforced' more stringently. however, something should be done when a mod tries to ban someone (because of a personal vendetta) under the guise of 'enforcing the TOS', when they themselves act as childish and have as much contempt and disregard for the rules, as the member they are trying to ban.

No sir! I think a few members here don't like her posting stuff about her personal life and her style of writing and they'll jump in with name calling. That's what starts a flame fest and eventually things getting out of control. I didn't see where she petitioned to get dballer and highintensity banned but if she did then I would have to disagree with her even though she is a close friend. Johnnyjuice is however an entirely different case. His only purpose on this board is to jump in with name calling and start flame fests. You and I have disagreements but I think we have been able to talk through and resolve them with minimal name calling.

I just think Bmom is corrupt, using her mod position to engage in various acts of 'net blame.' She gets pissed off at her own life, divulges it ALL over the boards, and when someone makes a remark -- she strikes and then tries to get that member banned so she can have some feeling of retribution towards the people she hates.
