That the girl of my dreams..(I've known her for awhile) would open up to me and say that she thinks guys like my buddy (lifting partner...a HUGE bro) are a turnoff??? She told me that she likes me the way that I am...fit and defined. She lifted up my sleeve and said "Oh...your fine". This just totally screwed up my world....I'm NOT fine in my mind and want to change that.

What if she knew that my buddy and I share the same source...only he's been doing it about 8 years longer than me? Would I be a turnoff for wanting to better myself?

I really like this girl but I am not giving up my goals.

Not really looking for an "all powerful" answer here...just had to tell someone.

Don't change your goals. If you really do like her, then change her stereotypical view, Your metamorphosis will be gradual, let hers be too.

It really depends on what your goals are in life. Are they to marry the woman of your dreams and start a family? Are they just to get "huge" so you can feel good about yourself?
This may be an age thing. I don't know how old you are... but... the older you get the less you could care about size. Emotional and spiritual happiness play a more prominent role when you age...

Well, I'm 34 and really don't wanna get HUGE...I just wanna get bigger than I am. And as far as training goes...I pretty much do that for myself, I mean, I wear baggy clothes even in the gym because I always looked at weight lifting as my gig and my gig alone.

I guess if she ever makes fun of my size in the future, I can always make fun of her feet or something right?
