Who here hates Halliburton...

cuz i just landed a job with them!! Im third generation in my family to go in the oil business----just thought i let everyone know------ ;) :chomp:
Whatcha doing for em?

Over billing the Pentagon?

Kudos.....Hallibrton OWNS this administration.

Vote for Bush and you will have plenty of pipeline work in the ME as more assets are attached.

Terrorists hate Haliburton. They hate them because they are probably the only company in the world capable of rebuilding Iraq's oil infrastructure to make it profitable for the Iraqi people, supporting this fledgling mideast democracy. That is why Haliburton employees lives are at risk just for performing their jobs in Iraq.

Thank God for Haliburton.

Well maybe I'll run into you out in the patch we work along side Haliburton quite a bit. Do you know exactly what you'll be doing with them?

Cheers,

LOL

Do you make this stuff up as you go along, or is Michael Moore your only source for news.

Dude, they are one of only a handful of companies in the world that provide those services. The list is smaller when you limit it to American firms. They are an outstanding organization.

Biggest in us yes, biggest in world no. Also there are several companies in texas alone that can do the same thing at a cheaper price. I work with some of these companies on a weekly basis.

Not trying to take sides just being objective.

Scotsman?

Where did I claim they were the biggest in the world or the US?

I simply stated that there are relatively few companies capable of doing what they do. If the list is narrowed to US companies, there are fewer. Depending on the size and nature of the job, Haliburton may be one of less than a handful even capable of pulling it off.

As for cheaper price, that is an unsupportable statement. They are all subject to the same bidding process with the exception of some of the emergency work during a crisis, such as Iraq. If they could do it cheaper, and could demonstrate the experience and ability, they would be doing the work

Haliburton has already been doing a lot of work for the Pentagon under Clinton, as Jersey stated. Also, they have merged with, or acquired other contractors that have recently supported US deployment efforts, such as Brown and Root, which any soldier can tell you was all over the place in Bosnia and Kosovo.

Still around here in Parachute, and up on Logan's, Grass Mesa, Porcupine Creekand occasionally Mamm Creek.
I just got offered a drilling job for Patriot 3, now Greywolf 803, in between Parachute and Rifle so it looks like I will be here for awhile. Damn, Now I am going to have to change my title to Brake Worm lol.

You got claims, but do you have proof??

I swear Poink was up here today, in the back of a truck window he had a sticker with calvin pissing on John Kerry's name lol. Thanks for saying hi to me in the gym bud.

Excellent Company? They were doing business with Iran in 1999 which is and was illegal.
http://www.mmorning.com/ArticleC.asp?Article=1590&CategoryID=6

They are suing retirees who complained about getting screwed by them on their benefits
http://www.mmorning.com/ArticleC.asp?Article=1590&CategoryID=6

This should have bankrupted them while they were banned from govt. contracts.

And there are still several outstanding kick back scandals going on over there activities in Iraq?

Great Company or a bunch of theives ripping of the us taxpayer.

I say say rip off artist.

Those are my good brothers who are working on the RIO project--Restore Iraqi Oil. I am a KBR (Kellog, Brown & Root) Operations Manager with Halliburton in Iraq right now. I remember being a young lieutenant deployed with my platoon and Halliburton doing GREAT things to try and make us that much more comfortable. Also, all those who do hate Halliburton, what you don't know is how many unemployed and low income veterans they hire to go overseas and make "six figures" if they are willing to do so.

You people who praise Halliburton are truly ignorant.

You didn't as I said I was trying to be objective and list out some facts there.

Many people commonly think that haliburton is this super specialized company that no one else can compete with, which just isn't true. Yes they do great work most of the time but doesn't mean they are alone in their endeavors.

Brake worm that's awesome. Do you ever work with Corion Diamond Products out of Canada? We do tons of work with them and they do coring in the Rifle area quite a bit.

Scotsman, The last coring job I had to do was last summer out of Debeque, we almost had to evacuate the rig because of the big fire there last year. I don't recall the name of the company that came out for the coring but it was some group out of Calgary I think. Hyper-active little Canadien running around kept me laughing the whole time.

I hate that Haliburton is overcharging the US taxpayers for work that they were given in a No-Big contract... Bush and his cronies gave Cheney's buddies a lucious deal on a silver platter at the expense of the citizens of this country. Its apparently not enough that Bush has sent our soldiers/citizens over to the middle east to die to settle a personal grudge he had against Sadam, but then gives his buddies a sweet gift of a deal as well at our expense... Who is Bush looking out for as president? it sure as shit isnt' the citizens of THIS country...

Bingo...and just enough Americans to vote Bush out are starting to realize that too.
