Who here has had an abscess before? Please post your experience!

Just curious as to how many people have had an abscess before, and how you took care of it?

On Sunday, I shot 2ml of omnadren into my right quad. Went in super smoothly. Immediately after, I noticed, a tiny bruise right underneatht the injection site. Everything was done sterile, like it I have done 100 times. Anyways, the next day. BAM .. lots of pain, and swelling. The next day, its crippling me to walk. Im thinking .. damn .. its just the ester blend in the omnas. Its thursday now, and its still there, the lump. Pain is not so bad, but there is still a bit of a swolen bump. I am wondering if this is on its way to treating itself? I really dont want to take a trip to the doc (already been lately, and I am getting ready to hang up the hat if I need to go again). Anyways, i am curious to how everyone treated these. Did your symptoms just dissapate over time? Did you have to get treated with anti-biotics? Did you have to get an incision and draniage proceedure?

I have been reading a few posts were people just pounded back the antibiotics, and the things drained and went away on its own over the course of 1 week. I have also heard that it should be drained. Did you people who got it drained, get it done with a needle? Or the actuall incision? Obviously, I am doing everyting I can to avaiod the doc. But since I can still feel it here on Thurs (though not as bad as Mon. or Tues.), do you think it still warrants a trip to the doc? I do not feel sick or anything, and all systems seem go. But I have also been reading that whats here, even if it has gotten slightly better, will not drain on its own, and I should at least a doc about anti-biotics or the drainage. Just curious to here some feedback. Contemplating going in to a doc AGAIN! This is getting rediculous! First my little Clen episode, now this. Whats next? F*CK!

I reallly wish that I had a good family doc that I could go to and not feel like such a Nitz around. lol. Lets here some feedback. For those that left it and it healed ... was there any problems, and did you use anti-biotics? For those that had to have it drained, did they use a needle or do the incision. Also, for those that got the incision, how long were you out for? I dont even know for sure if this is an abscess, but it feels like one. THe thing is that it has been getting better. I have been applying heat pads, and bengay as well. Lets here some feedback!

though i have never has one my buddy did. It was tiny but still one. what he did was take a needle and syringe and poke it himself to see if there was any puss in it. There was. he drained what there was and then started to pound the antibiotics and in a few days it was gone. see if you can poke it and if any puss comes out is my suggestion

Fuck .. i was thinking that ... but the thought of poking a needle into this without any pain killers, gives me the heeby jeebies! lol

I've had two of those painful pain in the butt abscess. You have to take anti-biotics. If you just leave it there and wait for the abscess to go away through time, you are completely misunderstood. When I said I had two of them, those two happened for that exact same reason. A third one was coming out bt I went to the doctor and he gave me anti-biotics(just like the other ones), since this time I cought it on time, the abscess did not grew and it just simply went away. Do not wait!!! Take anti-biotics now!!!!!!! Sooner or later your going to have to take them anyway. The pain and the uncomfortness will lead you to the doctor anyways. Some of these motherf***rs do not explode, an obligation to an incision. I tried to drain my first one but it did no good. I recomend not to drain it. It's extremely dificult to find the root and it will grow back even worse.

ANTI-BIOTICS NOW!!!!!!!!!

The relief will be unforgetable. The treatment is extremely easy. The doctor will just give anti-biotic and the abscess will drain by itself. If you can get antibiotics, great!!

I don't know why you're worried about seen a doctor. He's just going to look at it, say "WOW" thats a big one, and prescribe anti-biotics. THAT"S IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

go to your dr. why even mess around with something like this? It's none of his business if he asks. He'll most likely give you a shot of antibiotics and give you a script for more. Go asap bro.

I keep Cipro on hand for just such an occasion. I've had two infections and that stuff nixed them both.

They're right bro, dont mess around with this. Go get some antibiotics. Though the body does have the ability to heal itself in some instances, its not a risk you want to take if you have the means to fix it.

My friend had on in his ass cheak. Took the 'Wait and heal itself approach' unfortunately. He had a reaction to the absess and swoll up like a balloon, couldn't even see. Went to the doc, who got him straightened out. BUT, now he has a crater in his ass cheak the size of a silver dollar and about 2 inches deep.

In short, get some antibiotics.

No disrespect to the bros that have posted to try to help you out, but I really don't think you have an absess. Do you have any redness, or heat? Are you feeling ill? If the answer is no, my guess is the lump that you speak of is oil that is still sitting in the injection site. Have your woman massage the area to break the lump up. I think you are all making a mountain out of a molehill here. Just my opinion. It never hurts to be safe with some antibiotics, though.

No offense taken. Your right...Redness, Heat, Swelling = absess. Without those I don't think there is reason to panik.

I agree, that happened with me all of my first cycle of QV EQ and T400, my shit would stay swolen and sore as hell for near two weeks on each site i hit, it was a bitch, but it doesn't sound like an absess..... but better safe then sorry

I agree with Mike said above. My abcess in my shoulder that is what i did. I drained the puss, it was about 2 full syringes, and than went to the doc who prescribed me antibiotics and it cleared up with a week or two. If you dont feel comfortable with this i would definately go to the doctor to have it looked at. Notice i went to the doc even after i drained it, i just wanted to be sure.
