Who has tried Oxy-Water?

it is that bottle water that supposingly contains 700% more oxygen than regular water. Supposingly to give you more endurance and energy.

It's bullshit. You can't put more oxygen in water. Water is H20. If you add another Oxygen atom, you get H2O2 which is Hydrogen Peroxide.

Aside from the fact that pure oxygen is dangerous, even if you could put it though some type of carbonation process using oxygen instead of cardon dioxide, you'd just burp it out.

You tell me, that is how it is described and marketed.

fro is right. physics says that water is composed of 2 parts hydrogen and one part oxygen. I don't see how it's physically possible. do you have a website link for this product?

These people are crazy!

Fast Facts
The oxygen content of Oxy-Water is 5 to 7 times higher than that of regular bottled water, and up to 10 times higher than that of some tap water.

I can't even begin to get into why this is fucked up. See my above post. Water is water is water.

Thousands of years ago, the oxygen content of the air was 38%. Today, the air we breathe averages between 15% and 20%, and as low as 9% in some major metropolitan areas.

There's so much bullshit in this statement that I need a snorkel. IF (and that an enormous IF) that was true, we're talking about a time before humans existed. Evolution would have adapted us to the proper amount of oxygen. And there's not less oxygen in cities. Geesh, use some common sense.

An inadequate supply of oxygen to the body is called "Hypoxia."

Okay, so what?

The tiredness many people feel after eating is a result of oxygen being consumed during the digestive process, which diminishes the oxygen available to the rest of the body.

I'm not sure why this is wrong, it just is. I need a little help on this one.

Pure (distilled) water "wets" the hemoglobin molecules, allowing them to more effectively pick up and transport oxygen throughout the body.

I don't doubt that water is needed for digestion and proper function of the body, but this sounds like a snake oil salesman trying to use big words to confuse you.

It is estimated that 80% of world's the population is clinically dehydrated.

While this figure may be a bit exaggerated, most people are in fact dehydrated. Dehydration leads to feeling of fatigue.

it was either in Men's Health or one of the many BB mags I have - but I know I just saw where there are many studies that looked at this stuff, and many times it has LESS O2 than what is in your tapwater.

in other words, totaly crap.

not to mention that your stomach isn't the best way to get your O2 absorbtion into the bloodstream (think lungs)

Oh yeah, I forgot, you can have a small amount of oxygen dissolved in water. That's what fish breathe. But the only way to do that is by active churning of water or a carbonation process (think air pump in a fish tank). However, as water sits and becomes stagnant, the oxygen is released from the water. It "goes flat" Therefore, bottled stagnant water would have less oxygen dissolved in it.

If you could gain ANYTHING from this type of water (which you can't), buy a fish tank and make your own.
