I actually like it a lot. It's pretty realistic, and it gets quite suspenseful as you play. The controls are a little tricky at first, but once you get the hang of them it's not so bad. There's a lot of neat toys and such that you get along the way that are fun to use.

I'd personally rather play Halo, or my newest addiction: Ghost Recon. Now THAT'S a killer game. It freezes up a bit from time to time, but it's just like being in Saving Private Ryan. It's incredible.

I play Ghost Recon... I love the game. Splinter Cell also looks bad ass... But I don't think I will drop any $$$ on it.

I borrowed it from a friend, and I agree... I wouldn't buy it. The main reason for that, is once you beat it, it's not really fun anymore. It's a challenge to get through it... but once you do, it's just over.

Ghost Recon is different all the time. Guys are in different places, and you never know who's going to try to kill you from where.

I know this isn't a Ghost Recon thread, but I'd definately put my cash towards that before Splinter Cell.

Splinter Cell is a very good game...You can Update it on Xbox live, though I dont know what that entitles I am almost done with the 2nd to last level

Fun game...

Ahhhhh yes. This is true. You can always update it on X-Box Live.... which is a good thing.

I know a few people who just don't like it, because it's not fast enough for them. Sneaking around in the shadows, moving very slowly at times, or hanging out in dark corner, or dangling from a pipe on the edge of a cliff that's over 1,000 feet up, waiting for a guard to pass...

It's suspenseful, but a lot of people don't have the pateince for it. I guess it just depends on what time of game you like, I suppose.

But I still don't think I'd buy it. :D

I rented it a few days ago. It's ok, nothing great, imo. Then again, I just want to run around and kill things with a big-ass gun. I could care less about stealth, etc.

On the other had, my buddy loves it. Says he'll buy it when it comes out for PC...

im playing it, its REALLY ROCKS, it takes more strategy than halo i think. whereas you dont go rushing and shooting, its more of a stealth kinda game, and 'suspenseful' play it and youll see what were talking about.
i also have ghost recon, but havent opened it yet, how are the controls? is it like splinter cell?

Its a lot more real life than the typical FPS..

You have to think, and be patient. There are levels that you can't even use a gun. The strategy is more what you would expect from a real Splinter agent.

I like it a lot, but it is more cerebral than thumb reaction...
