whey protein

One scoop of SciFit Whey Isolate (whey isolate, BCAA's, no aspartame)
One scoop of Designer Whey Glycerlean (slow absorbing protein)
and I'm set. I'm thinking about switching to something different though, with flavors that mix better with water. Scifit has a lemonade flavor I want to try, wouldn't be bad for a post-workout shake mixed with powdered Gatorade for simple carbs.

I recently bought some "100% Whey Protein" from gnc. I feel a difference since I have progressed by adding more weight to my lifts but I have a question. The directions aren't clear. They just say add 1 scoop to 8 fl oz of cold water. It doesn't say how many times a day I can take it or when to take it. Off the top of my head, each scoop has 20g of protein and 4g of carbs.

You should aim to get about 1 - 2 times your bodyweight in grams of protein a day.

if you weigh 150 lbs. : 150-300 grams a day
if you weigh 175 lbs. : 175-350 grams a day etc. etc.

Mainly, drink a shake post workout, along with simple carbs (dextrose, maltodextrin, (powdered gatorade has mostly dextrose))
And have a shake whenever you cannot get protein from another source, like tuna, fish, beef, chicken, milk etc.
