Whey Bioavailability

I have heard from some gym rats that you shouldn't pre-mix your whey protein because it will loose some of its bioavailability. For example mixing up a shake upon waking and then sucking it down late afternoon. Any truth to this? Thanks in advance.
 
Not sure if it actually decreases bioavailability...
What I do know is that when mixed with water, whey protein becomes a nutrient-rich soup, which promotes the growth of bacteria. Maybe that has to do with a decrease in BV (my speculation).
However, it does tend to get all smelly and nasty.
So my suggestion: take a bottle of water with volume around 300ml with your whey protein powder, and mix before you drink it.
 
I mix up my shake with water in the am and then drink in around 6-7. I have never noticed any problems or slowed gains.
