when you lose hair

what are the signs?

hair on the pillow when you wake up?

hair in the sink when you try to put some gel on?

or what?

or lets say if you pull your hair and theres maybe 2-3 hairs in ur hand

The first and only time I have ever noticed a slight loss in hair was at the curve of my hair line by my left eye. Even then the hair just slightly thinned out and that was it. I never noticed hair on the pillow or in the sink. But that was me.

A good friend of mine, his hair thins every time but I have never heard him say anything like it laying around or anything. I think that it just comes out gradually and that you don't really notice it until a lot has left. But if you are seeing it laying around, I would be worried.

Pretty close to what Whiskey said. I don't really notice hairs falling out but the actual hairs get thinner and limper. Along the hairline, close to the temple area I will actually see a loss of hairs. But this area generally has less density and so it looks as if my hair receded abit more in this area.

This has happened on both of my cycles. Hair grew back within 3-4 months to normal length and thickness.

The same thing occurs if I don't keep up with my minoxidil regiment. But the AAS thinning occurs even while I was using minoxidil.

Some people get a telogen efflux (I believe this is what it is called). This is when hair starts shed heavily The go into the resting and then are fall out. Causing hair shedding. I believe that once the cause of the problem (AAS) is removed and time has passed that the hair will come back

But with the continually use of AAS the hairs will not grow back and over time are probably damaged or atrophied to an extent that they will not grow back or will grow make weaker when AAS is finally removed. I would suspect that some damage may occur and many subsequent cycles may cause damage to the hair that will prevent it from growing back.

Good post Buckwheatl. Look for hair in the shower drain (that's where I see it), or on your pillow. Also, examine your scalp in front temporal regions as well as the crown.

take some topicals bro, don't just seat there and do nothing about it! and if you stress about it you will loose more!

I shed like a dog certain months, im talking about hair everywhere, pillow, shower, comb. I dont even notice it getting thinner, and you cant see any more of my scalp. Maybee one day it will catch up, but I always seem to be growing more hairs.

Ive had a receeding hairline maybee about 1/2 inch back since I was 17. Started going back and nothing ever happened after that. Past 4 years I started using Rogaine, Proscar and Nizoral. Hair still falls out alot, believe it or not LESS when I am on a cycle!!! But stays very thick nevertheless.

If your loosing hair, you'll notice it! Best way to notice is to run your hands through your hair while in the shower. Any hair that is falling out will be stuck to your hands. This will give you a good indication that your loosing some hair if you've got about 15-25 hair follicals in your hand.

well I'm only 19

this only happens when I dont wash my hair for a while with a shampoo(maybe 4-5 days)

what I notice is just hair stickin to my hand when I'm styling my hair or something but lately theres been a bit more than usual

every time this happens though you cant see any difference, my head is still like a jungle up there, and whenever I wash it with a shampoo it turns into afro and thats why I hate washing my hair with shampoo everyday...

I'm on m1t and thats what got be a little bit paranoid, I washed my hair again and soo far everything seems clean

so basically you loose hair while on or off (gear) but it grows back the same way it fell off???

Yes.

Lots of it too, not just a few hairs, Ill use a brush and have like 20 hairs fall out when I shake the bristles of the brush..

Ive noticed that when I change different things in my lifestyle it directly affects it.

Diet, stress, etc...

It has always grown back though, besides the receeding hairline which hasnt really moved much since 17 , I have no other signs of hairloss, no baldspots, places where its thin, etc..

that's cool, there's people that they go bald once they get on ONE cycle of 10 wks then their hair starts to shred worse when they get out of cycle, that's sucks. I still loose hair but not as before and stills grows back but in my case my hair line went back about half inch about 5 years before I even started using gear and i'm 26, but I don't regret it though. You gotta fight against MBP even without it if it runs in the family.

Hair falling out is not necessarily the result of balding.

I got hair down to my ass. As a result, just due to getting pulled, combed, "the longer it is, the easier it can get ripped out", as well as constant pony-tails -- i rip out probably 30-40 hairs A DAY.

But it's not due to balding, they all grow back. People look at my comb and see more hair on it the some people have on their head. They wonder how i'm not bald. So don't freak out just cuz you see hair. The only way to know for sure is to keep looking at your hairline. If hair falls out of a SPECIFIC area (such as crown, or hairline) and you see a "baldness" - then you're going bald. Otherwise, it's just hair coming from all areas of your head and it doesn't mean anything.

When I running my fingers through my hair in the shower, I'll get about 5 or 6 hairs (when on cycle)...more like 1 or 2 (when off cycle). Not too worried about it. Men in my family have a receeding hair line on the sides. Nothing major, none the less receeding.

I wouldn't even go as far to say it was genetic...I have a theory that its stress related. All the men in my family are very-hard workers whom have lived pretty stressful lives.
