I'd imagine our government has to consider the possible ill-fated consequences of the highest prices our country has seen in 25 or so years, maybe soon ever. How much is enough? Eventually they'll have to step in to protect the people from themselves if they let this go too far. Although they aren't solely responsible, they can still do something about this pain in the ass for everyone with a car. Sure, my stock in Exxon Mobil has gone up but no more than usual considering all that is happening, and I can imagine bigger concerns down the road if this bs keeps up.
