when will i start to lose muscle?

im gonna keep it down for a while...
what would my diet need to be like for me to start losing muscle?
 
BTW - why do you want to lose muscle?

Less than 0.8g/kg bodyweight protien should result in muscle loss, and more than 500 calories below maintenance for a deficit.

i mean.. im taking a break and dont want to lose muscle
so just wondering wot my diet would need to be like

Many athletes, including powerlifters, find their performance actually increases after approximately a week off an intense training regimen.

I'd say about two weeks is the most time you should take completely off; even then I would try to incorporate a little extra activity like an occasional pick-up game or taking the stairs instead of the elevators.

This is just from my experience; YMMV.

Keep your diet the same only a little lower calorie wise.

well i was gonna keep the training.. just go less hard on the diet
