When was GH first used by athletes?

It's my understanding GH use started in the early 80's but
a friend insists it was available in the 70's.
Anyone know?

I never and read many articles interviews he never used GH.

Lyle was one of the first us athletes to use that shit from kadavars.....and one of the last..

AIDS from dirty needles maybe. I was listening to NPR (NAtional Public Radio) today and they were talking about auto-immune diseases and their treatments and research. Very very interesting. Anyway common treatment for AI diseases is corticoids like Prednisone; they suppress the immune system. Corticoids are also used to aid in recovery. Maybe Lyle was really into corticoids to help reduce inflammation after a hard game. Years of suppressing you immune system could lead to development of nasty diseases that the bod could normally fight off.

There was an X-Files episode about CJD. This whole town was a cannibalistic cult and they contract CJD from one member who they ground up in the chicken processing plant.
