When to take L-Carnitine

I'm just looking for some insight on how carnitine should be used to help with fat loss. I've read contradicting views on how, when and what to take it with. Should it be taken with or without carbs? On an empty stomach before training? First thing in the morning?
Some people say not to take it with carbs because insulin will send the fat into the muscle, others say you should take it with carbs.
Any advice would be appreciated...
 
L-Carnitine should be taken 4 times a day In the morning when you get up on an empty stomach, lunch and dinner, Then wait about 1/2 hour before you ingest any food. Also prior to physical activity, and is absorbed by the body very quickly. If you're on your way to the gym, liquid or capsules are your best bet.


Start off with 700 mg 1st-2nd day on an empty stomach This is a completely safe dose that can help the body adjust to its presence.

Then go up to 1000-1700 mg per session. From there, feel free to adjust upward as you see fit. While the requirements vary from person to person.
For your best results take it with Omega-3. NO CARB as long as your taking Omega-3.
