When to take creatine?

Hey guys, I am looking for a little help. I take creatine (AST micronized) 2 times daily, for a total of 10g. I know you are supposed to take it post-workout, but I have heard 2 different times for after a workout, immedaitely, and 1 hour following. Which should I do? Also, when should I take my second serving? Some say to take it when ya wake up, and some say before you goto sleep, and a few others even say to wait 2 hours after your first serving, and take another (the "3-hour window")......Tell me what you think, I wanna make the most out my training.
 
A good time is up to an hour after you work out. That's the best time to take in just about any supplement because it's when your body is most "absorbent" of nutrients.

As for the other dose, don't overthink it. Just spread it out as much as you can.
 
I never really use creatine, but I would guess to use it right after your workout. Or atleast within 30 min, just like protein, right after a workout your body just inhales those nutrients.

Isnt there something to do with insulin and taking it right after, Your receptors are more abundant in creatine absorbtion within 10 minutes of the end of your workout. I think you can even sip through a protein/creatine combo while your working out and after.
