When dieting is eating at 10AM too late.

A girlfriend of mine is trying to lose weight by doing cardio and lifting weights five times per week. My understanding is that eating very early is much better since it gets the metabolism going. What are your thoughts????
 
It's actually best to space your meals out evenly through the day - 5-6 meals of basically the same caloric value. A lot of people only eat starch in their first three meals then switch to fibrous carbs for the last three when cutting, but have the same protein/fat ratios for each meal.
