Whats you home system worth $$$$$$$$

Ok , how many freak audio nutbars do we have lurking here who's home entertainment gear is worth more then a luxury car ?

I use my pc. I do have a real sound system hooked up to the soundcard, so I can set it louder and get better quality.

My screen is only 17¨. The last was 19, but it was a 19 incher TUBE which weighed about 50 lbs and was too big to fit on the desk. this one is a light thin flatscreen on a pod.

Nothing special. I don´t think superluxurious home entertainment systems are necessary. You can always get a bigger screen, but It will not make your DVD´s more detailed. If I´d buy stuff now, I´d probably get a 19 inch flatscreen and make sure the system plays those new high definition DVD´s.

Better screen quality is more interesting than bigger screens. you just end up sitting further away from the screen. Not worth it to me.

have to remember not everyone is okay w/ package home theater systems.

I have owned a LOT of systems over the last 5 yrs, ask me before you buy, I can tell you what has really pleased me and what I would avoid.

Not sure what it's worth, but I have paid a lot for it over time.

Buying good wiring and cables cost almost as much as the main components in a home theater setup.

lets see i got my speakers out of van off the road, TV was purchased from newspaper ad for 300 bucks alittle fishy since it retailed for 3400 but what do i care it worked. and
receiver and yada yada.

all in all i have done really well and spent MAybe 700 bucks.
