i dont mean to start another america vs canada thread but some americans have become so ignorant towards us after that incident with our boys

my two examples are the leafs game last night where our anthem was boo'ed and the raptors game in detroit where it was boo'ed before

it just kind of bothers me that some people are so rude

i know most arent so im not associating all americans with these asshole im just curious to everyone elses reactions

it may be another reason but this is the latest thing that has gone on and it hasnt happened in the weeks prior

i understand it is hockey playoffs but boo the team when they come in not our anthem

if they had any kind of respect for either country they would know not to boo during any countries anthem, especially during the anthem of a country that has recently experinced its biggest loss of soldiers since korea

that is absolutely sickening. they were fighting for the same cause.

Some people are dumb fucks. Some Flyers fans beat the shit out of Devils/Rangers/pretty much any team's fans. Others just want to watch a hockey game, and go the fuck home. We're not all Devil beating drunks.

It's embarassing to see those people who boo an anthem act that way. They should grow up.

Now with that said, I want to the see Leafs beat the Islanders, and the Raptors lose, and the Senators to be beaten for the next 3 games. I'd also like to see Detroit lose.

But before the anthem was sung, public-address announcer John Mason urged fans to ``show respect'' for their Canadian neighbors.

Fans did more than that. The Palace crowd, silent during the Canadian anthem, broke out in raucous cheers at its conclusion.


Across the continent, Vancouver fans booed during the American anthem before Sunday night's Red Wings-Canucks playoff game. Tuesday night, some fans booed again but many others cheered during the anthem.

Some Vancouver fans showed a lot of class at the end of the hockey game lastnight when they started throwing bottles at the Red Wing players near the end of the game. Most of the bottles hit their own fans.

i watched that game and didnt hear that but i was probably talking to someone and not paying that much attention

The reason the Canadian anthem is being booed at hockey games is because Americans are being Americans. At the Olympic games our men's and women's hockey team made the US teams look like a bunch of asses I'm surprised their teams weren't charged with loitering the ice. There just upset that we beat them in their own country thats all who was the US kidding we all know what country is the best at hockey suck it up already.
